Vera Schueler Araripe (Ilha do Governador, 1994) é pintora e artista-pesquisadora no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da Escola de Belas Artes da UFRJ, onde também se graduou em Pintura. Tem sua pesquisa voltada para questões relativas à infância, devaneio e memória.
Partindo de uma infância atravessada por delicadas instabilidades emocionais e pela presença de transtornos psiquiátricos na família, visualiza o devaneio enquanto um abrigo essencial para o ser da infância. Na prática da pintura, revisita esse território imaginário como espaço de cura e reinvenção, onde símbolos relativos à sua própria infância se desdobram em novas camadas de sentido.
Como principais realizações, abriu as individuais “Formigas Não Gostam de Cravos” (SESC Três Rios, 2025) e “Devaneio” (Espaço Cultural Municipal Sérgio Porto, 2024). Teve seu trabalho exposto nas coletivas “X Bienal da EBA” (Centro Cultural Correios) e “V PEGA” (Paço Imperial). Também foi a única brasileira selecionada para a Residência Artística Innopraktika Art Session 2025, em São Petersburgo (Rússia).

Vera Schueler Araripe (Rio de Janeiro, 1994) is a painter and artist-researcher in the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the School of Fine Arts of UFRJ, where she also earned her degree in Painting. Her research focuses on themes related to childhood, daydream and memory.
Emerging from a childhood marked by delicate emotional instabilities and the presence of psychiatric disorders within her family, she understands the ability to daydream as an essential refuge for the inner child. In her painting practice, she revisits this imaginary territory as a space of healing and reinvention, where symbols drawn from her own childhood unfold into new layers of meaning.
Her main achievements include the solo exhibitions Formigas Não Gostam de Cravos (SESC Três Rios, 2025) and Devaneio (Sérgio Porto Municipal Cultural Center, 2024). She has also shown her work in the group exhibitions X Bienal da EBA (Correios Cultural Center) and V PEGA (Paço Imperial). In addition, she was the only Brazilian artist selected for the 2025 Innopraktika Art Session Artist Residency in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
